FDB Møbler is a furniture brand founded in Denmark in 1942, with the philosophy of "making high-quality furniture accessible to everyone." Characterized by simple and functional Scandinavian design by Børge Mogensen and others, the company currently offers products made from sustainable materials, and is gaining popularity both in Japan and overseas.
Børge Mogensen (1914–1972) is one of Denmark's leading furniture designers, who pursued simple and practical designs and laid the foundations of Danish modernism. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, and established a style that combined the skills of a furniture maker with design theory.
