【大和店スタッフ】北欧デザインのチェアのご紹介

Hi everyone, long time no see.

This is Chisaka from the Yamato store staff.

Last week, on August 12th, a container shipment arrived at the SHARK ATTACK Yamato store, where heavy rain and extremely hot days continued, and the humidity was scorching! ! 🤩✨

This time, we would like to introduce a chair made in Denmark from among the newly arrived items.

Denmark is a snowy Scandinavian country. The climate is generally cool, and in winter the area is covered in pure white snow, freezing cold...🥶However, it is located in the southernmost part of Northern Europe, and it sometimes snows. It seems that it is rare for it to accumulate.

The average maximum temperature in summer is around 20 degrees, and as someone who spends summers easily exceeding 30 degrees every day, I'm so jealous.

Denmark is ranked second in the world happiness rankings.
By the way, the three Nordic countries are tied up in the top three, with neighboring Finland in first place and Iceland in third place.

In addition to the cool climate, the high latitude means short daylight hours in winter, and the culture of seeking comfortable indoor spaces has taken root in Northern Europe in order to spend the winter comfortably.

Living surrounded by practical and colorful Scandinavian design furniture will make you feel happy just by being at home 🥰🎵

The introduction is long, but let me introduce the items from here!

Magnus Olesen Oakwood Fabric Chair/Stacking Chair

These two chairs are from Magnus Olesen , a furniture manufacturer founded in Denmark in 1937 .

The wood frame is made by combining parts made by bending and molding a single long piece of wood, and is made using a technique known as bent wood.

It looks like a simple design at first glance, but if you look closely, you'll see how it's made! ? There is a surprise.

The seat and backrest are curved to hug your body.

The seat surface is actually woven from a combination of two colored threads, giving it an indescribably complex color that gives it a sense of depth.

It is stackable, so it can be stored compactly.

"Findahl Mobler A/S" teak wood x fabric dining chair

Next up is the dining chair from Findahl Mobler, which was founded in Denmark in 1946.

The smoothly carved, slim frame is beautiful! ! cool! ! ! 1point.

Personally, when I look at the frame made of thin plate-like parts, I think it's Scandinavian furniture.

The warmth of the wood, the brushed fabric, the seamless frame and the subtle presence of the wooden dowels...it has a somewhat industrial feel, with a hint of spice.

Farstrup teakwood fabric chair/dining chair

Finally here!
This dining chair is made by Farstrup, a Danish furniture manufacturer founded in 1910.
The construction is similar to the previous chair, but this one has a dark brown painted wood frame and plum-colored fabric on the seat and backrest, giving it a mature feel.
Even though the designs are similar, the atmosphere can be so different...
The world of coloring is quite deep 🧐
This chair has beautiful wood grain that shows through the glossy wood frame.

In Denmark, the word "hygge" has been cherished for a long time .
Although the word has a very unique nuance, it is said to refer to ``happiness'' and ``comfort,'' and it is said that hygge also includes wisdom and interior design for enjoying the cold winters of Scandinavia.

I think that incorporating such Danish furniture will help you enjoy the hot summer that continues and the coming seasons.

In addition to the items introduced this time, you can also view many vintage chairs at our stores and online store.
