It has been a while! This is Kanaoka from the Osaka store staff🥸
Today, we would like to introduce Robyn A. Frank, which is now available at all stores due to restocking~~
A female artist who lives and works in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
Do you know Albuquerque?
Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico, with a population of over 500,000 people, and is full of culture, nature, and urban charm.
The complex colors and colors are influenced by Albuquerque, which has beautiful desert and mountain scenery. Using abstract shapes, he expresses the duality and interrelationships that are the themes of his work.
Why are so many of the colors Robin uses inspired by the land of Albuquerque?
Robin says this is because "the colors create a sense of place and time and pay homage to Albuquerque."
Robin's passion for wanting people to feel closer to Albuquerque can be felt.
Also, the themes of duality and interrelationships are the points that Robin has felt the most in her life so far.
“Things that appear to be contradictory at first glance, but inevitably have a potentially important relationship.
Just like you have to breathe out in order to breathe in.
Things that may seem confrontational but are deeply related are duality and interrelationships. ”
I'm guessing from here,
Robin is conscious of how clearly she can express the many things she wants to convey, and narrows down her ideas until she can minimize them. This can be clearly seen by the use of many abstract shapes.
In addition, rather than using a single color, we use complex colors that are a mixture of multiple colors.
I think this also expresses the duality and interrelationship between simplicity and complexity.
Robyn A. Frank's blankets are made with care in every detail.
This is a truly wonderful work, not only for its cute appearance, but also for the thoughts that have been put into it.
Please take a look and touch it once.
