"MORI" is a platform that delivers creations through collaboration between professional creators from various fields and Masashi Mori, an interior stylist and product designer.
We develop products that decorate tabletops, such as vessels and vases, designed from an editorial perspective that takes into account the styling of the entire space, not just individual items.
The series, created in collaboration with potter Takanori Yano, has just the right size and durability, and the shapes and colors have a subtle, extraordinary essence embedded in them, enriching your daily dining table.
The clay used is a mixture of Shigaraki and Fukui clay and Amakusa potter's clay.
The pots and bowls are molded on a potter's wheel. All of them feature a line that smoothly connects from a high platform to the edge, giving a sense of dimension and sexiness to dining tables that tend to be flat.
Plates, bowls, and bowls are set slightly larger, leaving enough space to make the food look beautiful when served.
The flat plate and small plate are Tatara molded. A design that coexists with modernity and simplicity, intentionally leaving an irregularly shaped primitive feel in its simple shape.
The bean plate is set a little larger and the edges are slightly raised, making it a versatile size that can not only hold dried sweets and soy sauce, but also small dishes.
Furthermore, it is versatile enough to be used in a variety of ways, such as as an accessory tray or incense holder.
It has a simplicity that goes well with all types of cuisine, including Japanese, Western, and Chinese, but it is also characterized by the three-dimensional effect (shape) and gorgeousness (color) that can be created by combining them.
