Today we will be introducing 【KUMIJI】, which we have introduced before.
We have a variety of items that would make perfect gifts, so I hope to take a deeper look at their appeal again.
KUMIJI is a lifestyle brand designed and produced by metalwork artist and designer Shota Kumiji.
Products made under the concept of "original form" tend to have simple shapes to show off the natural beauty of the material.
The subtle bumps and curves have been carefully designed with such care that it is astonishing.
Another great thing about KUMIJI products is that you can enjoy not only the moment they are born, but also the process of how they change as they develop a deeper flavor over time.

The first item is a brass chopstick rest.
By hitting a 6 mm diameter round bar with a hammer, an oval shape appears on the cross section.
The top is flat, but the sides are plump and rounded.
It is a simple yet gentle shape.
This is the first time we have received chopstick rests, but we are proud of the gorgeousness of brass.
It has a very beautiful appearance that combines the delicateness that is unique to KUMIJI.
It can be used for everyday use as well as adding a touch of elegance to special occasions such as New Year's.

This is a brass cutlery rest that has always been very popular.
By utilizing the shape of the timber and roughening the surface,

This is the Corinne series of pendant lamps, which are the focal points of any space from KUMIJI. These pendant lamps feature a gently curved shade reminiscent of a sand dune.
Only the inside of the shade has fine bumps to give it a sand-like texture.
This sandy surface diffuses the light from the bulb, and in a dimly lit room it sparkles like a starry night sky.
The texture of the underside of the shade has a greater influence on how the light appears than you might think, so you can see the attention to detail that only Kumichi, a metalwork artist, can have.
