【大和店スタッフ】Denmark Søholm テーブルランプのご紹介

Hello!
This time, Tanabe, a staff member at the Yamato store, will be bringing you the report.

The rainy season has finally arrived in the Kanto region.
I hate humidity, but...
I like rainy days because I can relax, but what about you guys?

It's nice to spend some luxurious time reading a book or making coffee while listening to the sound of the rain.

We recently received a lot of items at our Yamato store to brighten up your time at home.

Among them, we would like to introduce three heartwarming pendant lamps from Denmark to accompany you during your time at home.

△Denmark is 12 hours away from Japan by plane! It's far away! 🚢

Danish furniture is recognised worldwide for its sophisticated design and high quality.
They are characterized by a simple and functional style that is typical of Scandinavia, combining comfort and beauty, and many of their products use natural materials and incorporate the finest craftsmanship. Each of the desk lamps introduced here is a tasteful and easy-to-use item.

First up is this one, which has a warm sand beige base with a lovely four-leaf clover-like carving, and you'll just want to touch the textured surface forever.
The body looks rough but is smooth to the touch!

We have two items in stock that are the same model but with different shades.

The smooth umbrella-shaped form is a design that can only be achieved in a ceramic workshop.

Personally, I would love to use it as a side lamp in my bedroom and fall asleep with its soft light!

This ceramic vase
was designed by Haico Nitzsche, a German sculptor and designer for Søholm, around the 1970s.

As mentioned earlier, Denmark
I would like to tell you a little about Søholm .

The company was founded in 1835 (almost 200 years ago!) on the island of Bornholm by Herman Sonne Wolffsen and Edvard Chr. Sonne.

Bornholm is an island located in the Baltic Sea and remains an attractive and beloved island by the Danish people today, with its unique nature, delicious restaurants, and beautiful beaches.
It looks like you can do it very slowly.

◎ Bornholm Island

Bornholm has a unique culture that is a blend of Danish and Swedish cultures, and has a history of being a gathering place for craftsmen and artists since the 18th century, with many artists settling on the island. It is not uncommon to pass by many artists even in the streets.

Bornholm was noted for its production of kaolin, the raw material for hard porcelain.

The Soholm factory was bombed during World War II, but can be seen being rebuilt in 1945.

The factory suddenly announced its closure on February 1, 1996, and closed within the next few months.

Søholm produced many works with a different flavor to pottery in Copenhagen and other places, and was one of the most popular pottery studios in Denmark from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Finally, this item, made in the same factory, is available in two colors: black and pink.

The desk lamp in this cool black style gives a completely different atmosphere and was designed by Maria Philippi, who was affiliated with Søholm in Denmark from 1962 to 1964.

The exquisite crimson purple color scheme is accented with pink, gold, and black.

Luxurious black.

Both of these will surely upgrade your room.

Both products are by Søholm , and in addition to their simple, functional style that is typical of Denmark, they also have an appealing feel that blends into everyday life.

And finally, we would like to introduce the table lamp from Suholm's "Erika" series, which features a warm-textured ceramic base and an impressive fabric shade.

The design was created by Noomi Backhausen, who worked as a signboard designer for Soholm between 1966 and 1990 and is known as one of the leading ceramic designers of the 20th century .

With a rustic illustration as the base and the light that shines through the shade gently, it can be used anywhere, such as the living room or bedroom.

There are still many products I would like to recommend, but that's all for now!
