【大和店スタッフ】ヴィンテージタイプライターの魅力

Hello everyone, this is Ito.

As winter approaches, the Yamato store warehouse is extremely cold.
The other day, on the 16th, we received a large amount of hot items that are irresistible for vintage lovers, so we would like to introduce them to you.

These are the vintage typewriters lined up in this photo.

Never before have so many arrived,
The products are in relatively good condition and come with a portable box, and we have a variety of products that allow you to enjoy the different colors and type board designs of each company.

You may see them as objects or fixtures in movie scenes or in cafes, etc.
If you dig deeper into the era and brand, you'll find that it has a niche appeal, making it an interesting item to collect.

This time, I would like to introduce the newly arrived typewriter and tell you about its history and other highlights.

The typewriter has a long history and was first created in London in 1982.

It is a machine that prints letters by typing on paper by pressing a key on the dial, and is used in offices to speed up writing tasks and clean manuscripts, and is said to be the forerunner of today's word processors.

The model that arrived this time is among the vintage typewriters.
Many of the early pieces from the 1930s to 1940s are in good condition, making this selection full of maniac charm.

First of all, we would like to introduce you to the German-made WANDERER WERKE company.
CONTINENTAL typewriter.

Manufactured in the 1930s, this model is characterized by its dark red wood grain, which is said to be extremely rare, and it was a highly prized portable model at the time.

The keyboard layout is QWERTY for use in Germany,
The design, with attention to detail such as the alphabet font, is cool.

This one, which has an unusual white color, is made by the German company Jewel, released in 1939.

This item has a lighter impression compared to the standard black and would be cute to incorporate into your interior.

This typewriter also has an attractive retro cream color.
This is a 1957 model from Triumph.

This piece has an edgy feel to it, with a khaki brown type key that probably matches the color of the main unit, and a texture that has developed over time.

Trimph was started in London by German businessman Siegfried Bettmann as an importer of German bicycles and sewing machines.

Originally, I was taking over a friend's business.
They were manufacturing an existing model typewriter called Norica.
He met Paul Grutzmann, Germany's most active typewriter designer at the time, and he designed and designed the original Triumph model.

By 1920, the company had produced 3,000 typewriters.
It is said to be the first German office equipment manufacturer to introduce mass production technology in 1929.

This Triumph, which seems to have been manufactured in the later period, has a mid-century retro-modern design and stylish structure compared to the early models, making it easy to incorporate as an interior object, and can be combined with retro items such as records. It's also nice.

By the way, this is an early model made in 1929.
A beautiful item with a solid appearance and classic form.

It will also liven up your mood as a display in your study room.

Most of the items in this shipment were made in Germany, but this one is a French-made JAPY typewriter from the 1940s.

It appears to have been exported to Germany by a French manufacturer, and the keys are arranged for German-speaking countries.

The last thing we would like to introduce is the German-made vintage typewriter SENTA by FRISTER & ROSSMANN.

Based on a wood base that is a little different from those of other manufacturers,
A classic yet elegant design that is both simple and elegant.

The company used to manufacture sewing machines, so the structure is somewhat reminiscent of vintage sewing machines.

We have introduced only a few of them this time, and there are many other models that are too diverse to introduce.

When you hear the word vintage typewriter,
I think it's hard to imagine using this item at home, but it's because it's not practical.
We recommend that you enjoy and love the story after knowing the story like this.

The strongest cold wave has arrived, so everyone please take care of yourself!
