Muḥammad Anwar al-Sādāt money box by Danmark SOHOLM
Introducing a piggy bank featuring Muḥammad Anwar al-Sādāt, the third President of Egypt.
Anwar al-Sadat participated in the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 and served as Minister of State in the Egyptian Republic, which abolished the monarchy and transitioned to a republic. He then became the first President of the Arab Republic of Egypt in September 1971 and served as president three times until his death in October 1981.
In 1978, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on the Camp David Accords.
This item is made by SOHOLM , a famous pottery manufacturer that existed on the island of Boholm in Denmark from 1835 to 1996 , and is part of a series called "Savings Man of the Year" and "Great Statesmen."
It appears to have been manufactured in the 1970s, and has a serial number on the bottom.
Not only can it be used as a piggy bank, but it can also be used as a display piece in a corner of your room.
