The joints on the sides are finished with wooden fillers, creating a smooth finish that makes the seams invisible from a distance.
Also known as "Tomogi," this design reflects the meticulous handiwork of the artisans of the time and is seen in early to mid-period products, where no expense was spared, indicating that this was a high-end model.
