Etude, designed by Michael Bang and made by Holmegaard in Denmark in the 70s
This pendant lamp is from Holmegaard , a glass brand founded in Denmark in 1825 and a long-standing and traditional supplier to the Danish royal family .
This is from the Etude series, designed by Danish glass designer Michael Bang around the 1970s.
Since this product was made after Holmegaard became a subsidiary of Royal Copenhagen, there is still a tag on the top of the socket with Royal Copenhagen and the model number written on it.
The shade is made using a technique in which clear glass is layered on top of a milky white glass called opal white and then fused together, giving it a unique softness and a structure that diffuses light evenly.
The Etude series' shapes are inspired by organic forms found in nature, with smooth curves and lines reminiscent of the beauty of plants and droplets of water.
Even when turned off, it has a presence like an object, making it a highly recommended item not only for use in the home but also as store fixtures, as an accent for the space.
-Once you attach the ceiling parts, you can hang it from the ceiling and use it immediately.
・The power supply is a wall outlet type, but it can be replaced with a ceiling hook (sold separately) (¥880).
・Both power supplies and light bulbs comply with domestic standards.
・Maximum wattage = 40W equivalent (fluorescent lamps and LED bulbs can be used)
*When using LED bulbs, it can handle up to 100W equivalent.
- Bulbs are not included, so please purchase them at your local electronics store.
- The socket and cord have been replaced with new ones.
