[Carstens Tonnieshof]
Carstens is a long-established manufacturer that has been in business since 1900.
It came to an end when the ceramic boom ended in 1984, but was revived when Germany was reunified in 1990.
His older brother, Christian Heinrich Carstens, had a pottery workshop in West Germany, and his younger brother, Christian Ernst Carstens, had a pottery workshop in East Germany. However, after the Second World War, the factory in East Germany was seized, so his sons founded Carsten Tönnieshof in Tönnieshof, West Germany in 1945 .
