【スタッフの自宅紹介Vol.01】

This time we would like to introduce you to our staff's home on Staff Island (@taka_pult).

He lives with his wife and dog Luana, a Jack Russell terrier.
In one room of his 2LDK apartment, his unique selection of items, including a variety of folk crafts collected from all over Japan and vintage furniture, are lined up comfortably.

``Even though things from various eras, countries, and tastes are mixed together, by focusing on the balance and compatibility of the materials, a sense of comfort is created when placed.''

Just as the island says, from a vase made in West Germany in the 1950s to a carved wooden bear of Yakumo,
A wide variety of items, such as unique plants and objects by artists, are placed in a variety of genres, but the result is a cohesive space.

Highly priced designer furniture and brand new furniture are certainly nice,
You can easily create a space.

Still, the reason I like vintage furniture is not because of the value someone has attached to it;
He says this is because he can come across things that he intuitively thinks are good.

This time, he introduced some of the most recommended vintage furniture obtained at SHARK ATTACK.

Rainer Daumiller dining chair made in Denmark in the 1960s.

What she likes most is the texture of the pine wood, which has turned a beautiful amber color.
A unique sense shines through in the combination of the tapestry's red color and the pendant light's Japanese paper material.

This is a wood chandelier from the 1940s and 1950s.

The deep teak color and geometric silhouette are unique, making it a symbolic addition to the sofa.

Lately, it seems that teak wood furniture made in this era has often caught my eye.

The dry texture of iron and wood goes well with other furniture, so we incorporated it into the interior as well.

Incorporating industrial textures into natural furniture gives the space a cohesive impression.

At our company, we also handle many client store styling projects.
We also answered some of the most frequently asked interior design questions on our Instagrm stories.

Q.1 “I have so many things and miscellaneous goods that I get confused.
I want to know stylish storage methods. ”

A. ``When many people hear the word storage, they tend to focus on hiding things.
Try to be conscious of storage that shows things from a slightly different perspective.

Instead of storing the clothes you wear on a daily basis and everyday miscellaneous goods in a door or drawer.
It is also important to think about how to present it to make it stand out.

By doing so, your criteria for choosing things will change to what is comfortable for you. ”

The closet is lined with your favorite old clothes, records, vintage American miscellaneous goods, and European vases, creating a space where you can enjoy the moment of choosing clothes every day.

Q2. “Where should I start when moving? I would like to know tips for choosing furniture.”

A. “First of all, it is important to look at pictures and experience the interior as much as possible.
Understand what style you like and what kind of furniture you are attracted to.

If you just go to a furniture store and look for a sofa that looks good, you are likely to fail.

・What style do you want (Nordic/Natural/Industrial/Modern)

・Where do you want to place it?

The key to getting closer to your ideal room is to solidify your image.
We also offer home styling, so if you have any questions, please come to our store."

The most important thing when it comes to styling is the feel of the material.
A lot of the furniture is made of teak and pine wood.

Q.3 “It looks cute when I put it in a store, but it feels weird when I put it at home.”

A. ``In stores, the buildings and wall materials are well-crafted, so the box has a strong power to make the furniture look good, but the biggest point is that the furniture is arranged in a way that matches the taste and materials.

The reason why furniture looks strange when placed in your home is not because the furniture itself is unattractive;
Maybe I haven't fully brought out its charm.

If the teak material has a Scandinavian design, you can match it with Scandinavian objects from the same era.
Any one of the country/era/style/material is fine, so if you match it with the furniture you currently have or the furniture you plan to buy in the future, you should be able to change the furniture from a subtle one to a completely new look. ”

My favorite thing to do is spend time with my dog, Luana, in the sofa space that receives plenty of sunlight. The sofa area incorporates many fabric materials, such as vintage quilts and African tapestries made from bark called tapa, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
