Description

"Summer" wall art features a striking contrast between warm orange and cool green.

A breathtaking "summer" scene by Karl Schmidt-Rottluff.

Using his signature bold colors and powerful brushstrokes, he captures a summer scene in which several people are relaxing in nature.

The contrast between warm orange and cool green expresses the brilliance of the midsummer sun and the vitality of humans enveloped in it.

It is highly recommended for both home and commercial use.

Karl Schmidt‑Rottluff (1884–1976)

He was one of the founding members of the "Brücke" group of artists, a representative group of German Expressionists. He is known for his vibrantly colored and powerfully composed urban and rural landscapes. He worked on landscapes in Dangast on the North Sea coast from 1907 to 1912, and from 1909 onwards he innovated woodblock printing techniques, moving from impressionism to abstraction. After the war, he taught in Berlin and was instrumental in establishing the Brücke Museum in 1967. During the Nazi period, his art was deemed "degenerate," but it was reevaluated after the war and much of his reputation was restored.
