This Danish dining chair features a beautiful arched backrest with three striking, evenly spaced slits.
The balance between curves and straight lines is exquisite, and the beauty of the design changes depending on the angle from which it is viewed.
The back is gently curved to follow the contours of the body, and consideration has been given not only to design but also to the comfort of the back. The seat has been reupholstered in a calm brown fabric, and has just the right amount of cushioning, making it suitable for long periods of sitting.
The legs are thick and stable, reminiscent of solid wood, and the overall simple yet warm appearance gives off a quiet presence that is typical of Scandinavian mid-century style.
Not only can it be used at home, but it can also be used as fixtures in an office or store.

PJ Møbler (P. Jeppesens Møbelfabrik) was a Danish high-quality furniture manufacturer active in the mid-century 1940s to 1960s. In particular, he collaborated with designers Ole Wanscher and Grete Jalk to produce many simple and sophisticated masterpieces. Some of his representative works include the "Colonial Chair" and the "GJ Chair" in the MoMA collection.
