Steuler Keramik was founded in Höhr-Grenzhausen in 1917 and is a manufacturer known for producing particularly high-quality West German ceramics.
Production peaked in the 1960s and 1970s, and modern series such as Zyklon, designed by Cari Zalloni, remain popular among collectors today.
A clue to identifying the vintage items is that reddish clay was used until the early 1960s, and white clay has been used since then. The bottom of the product has an embossed "ST" mark.
Although the ceramics department was closed in 1996, the brand remains highly popular in the vintage market due to its original designs and high quality.
