Description
Gradation like the horizon at dusk
This is a vintage item manufactured in the 1960s and 1970s by Scheurich Keramik, the largest pottery manufacturer in the former West Germany.
The earth colors were a trend at the time. The metallic brown base has a metallic sheen, and the ochre and white lines create a beautiful gradation reminiscent of geological layers and the horizon.
At just 16cm tall, it is small enough to be used as an accent on a desk or shelf, or as a casual vase for a single flower.

Scheurich
Founded by Alois Schulich in 1927, it was the largest manufacturer in the West German Porcelain (WGP) market from the 1950s to the 1980s.
They mass-produced modern, high-quality products and contributed to the spread of German pottery.
Their products come in a wide range of styles, from vibrant colors and thick lava glazes to simple solid color glazes and speckled glazes.
