Description

This is a hutch-type sideboard designed by Harry Østergaard of Denmark.

[Maker: Randers Møbelfabrik / Designer: Harry Østergaard

This design was created by Danish furniture designer Harry Østergaard, who was a representative of the mid-century furniture designer, particularly active in the 1950s and 1960s.

He teamed up with Randers Møbelfabrik to design chairs, tables, etc. One of his most famous designs is the dining chair "Model.59," which features a crescent-shaped backrest.

The top center section is a pull-down hatch type, and the interior is equipped with built-in lighting, making it easy to reach those areas you need.

It has a striking appearance at 128cm tall, but is slim at just 44cm deep, so it doesn't feel too oppressive.

The design of the legs is also very particular, and the curved corners when viewed from the front are particularly appealing. You can really feel the curved-corner trend of the 1950s.

The flowing face shape with sharp corners, I think this balance also contributes to the lack of any sense of oppression.
