Description
This is an elephant sculpture from Skruf, a Swedish glass manufacturer.
Its distinctive shape with a curved bottom like a rocking chair is cute and the size is just right.
It can also be used as a paperweight.
Skruf Glasbruk is a historic glass workshop founded in 1897 in Småland, southern Sweden.
In the 1960s, prominent designers such as Lars Hellsten were particularly active, producing distinctive, sculptural pieces.
After that, the company went through changes in management and was briefly acquired by Kosta Boda, and the factory was closed in 1980.
However, it was later re-established as an independent company and continues to produce modern Swedish glass products today.
