Bay Keramik

This pottery manufacturer existed in West Germany from 1933 to 1997. After the war, it grew rapidly and became one of the leading manufacturers in the West German pottery industry, alongside Scheurich. From the 1960s to the 1970s, it gained popularity for its products, particularly those featuring bold colors and geometric, modern forms (spheres, discs, cylinders, etc.). While it also produced many products with thick lava glazes, it also produced many pieces with simple solid colors and gradient glazes, and its wide range of designs is a defining feature. In addition to the model number and size, the "BAY" logo, star, or flower symbol was often engraved on the bottom of the product.
