Description
Azuchi Sota
Born in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture in 1979.
He learned glassblowing from his father, glass artist Tadahisa Azuchi.
In 2002, he built a kiln in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, and began working as a glass artist.
Every single step of the process is done by hand.
Glass is made by adjusting the kiln temperature and work speed.
The design is sophisticated yet expressive and soft.
The less refined raw materials are melted at a lower temperature .
