Description
Artwork by Augusta Lu
She is an up-and-coming female artist from Lithuania who currently resides in Japan.
Drawing on his Baltic roots and Scandinavian aesthetic, he uses unique mediums such as coal, sepia and chalk, manipulating them in a fluid and textured state to provoke an inner dialogue.
Literally translated, it means "blessed sadness."
Frankly speaking, I didn't feel much sadness from the work. Feeling doubts and contradictions, I dug a little deeper and realized that "sadness" is generally expressed as Sad, and Sorrow is stronger than that. It is used to express deep sadness.
For example, the sudden death of a pet, or perhaps the sense of relief after overcoming a difficult challenge in life, I felt a sense of relief.
"A Blessed Sadness." I think this is a positive piece, the complete opposite of the title.
This product is a one-of-a-kind item.
