Johannes Andersen is one of Denmark's leading furniture designers.
He trained with various cabinet makers before becoming a certified cabinetmaker in 1922 and opening his own furniture workshop in the 1930s.
Johannes Andersen's pieces often use woods such as rosewood and teak, which develop a unique character with use.These pieces are carefully crafted to highlight the unique shapes and beautiful lines of these woods, making them highly sought after in today's vintage market.
Urdum Mobelfabrik This Danish furniture manufacturer, based in Uldum, Jutland in the 1960s, is famous for its mid-century modern furniture .
The company is also known for producing many pieces of furniture designed by Johannes Andersen.
My personal favorite feature is the approach from the handles on the bottom left and right to the legs. The balance between the horizontally extending handles and the vertically extending legs is excellent.
It has excellent storage capacity and is very easy to use.
