Description

A three-seater sofa that combines architectural beauty with simple warmth

A three-seater sofa manufactured by GETAMA, a long-established Danish furniture brand.
Its reliable quality and sophisticated Nordic design are still highly regarded by interior enthusiasts around the world.

The frame is made of sturdy, beautifully grained oak, and the "GETAMA / GEDSTED / DENMARK" stamp on the back clearly shows that it is genuinely made in Denmark.

The Getama's unique spring structure under the seat provides firm support without being too soft, ensuring an exquisite sitting experience that won't compromise comfort even after extended use.

The upholstery is made of an elegant and warm brown fabric, giving it a classic yet contemporary look that blends seamlessly into any space.

Not only can it be used in your home, but it can also be used as fixtures in lounges, stores, etc.

[ Hans J. Wegner]

Born in Tønder, Denmark in 1914.
He began his apprenticeship under a furniture maker at the age of 13 and qualified as a joiner at the age of 17. After studying furniture design at an arts and crafts school, he worked at Arne Jacobsen's office. He went independent in 1943 and is known worldwide as a master of chairs, having designed over 500 chairs to date.

Around 1950, Wegner released the Y Chair, The Chair, Papa Bear Chair, and Flag Halyard Chair. Each chair was manufactured by a different manufacturer at the time, and the chairs were designed taking into account the characteristics of each company, demonstrating Wegner's skill.

He is a furniture designer who has continued to explore the fusion of aesthetic beauty and ergonomic comfort for people to use.
