Description
Beautifully curved bowls that have shaped Japan's food culture
"Tsurari" means to line up in a row. This is a vessel made possible by advanced potter's wheel techniques. The +R and -R shapes on the sides fit together when lined up side by side, and when stacked create a wavy silhouette. Not only do they beautifully decorate your cupboard, but they are also fun to collect and play with, like building blocks.
Gato Mikio Shoten / Lacquerware (Ishikawa Prefecture)
Founded in 1908 as Gato Woodworks in Yamanaka Onsen, a town famous for its pottery turning. Carving out the will of woodworkers, the beautiful grain of natural materials and the perfection of each piece of wood carefully carved by woodworkers are truly works of art.
We utilize the high level of traditional Yamanaka lacquerware techniques to create lacquerware that will be loved for a long time.
