Description
Wall art featuring abstract forms and a sense of color
This piece was probably created around the 1970s or 1980s and highlights Jacobsen's characteristic abstract forms and sense of color.
His unique compositions, which sublimate his three-dimensional sensibility as a sculptor into two-dimensional works, inspire viewers with quiet and profound inspiration.
Robert Jacobsen (1912-1993) was a contemporary Danish artist internationally known, particularly for his abstract sculpture. Originally a self-taught artist, he moved to Paris after the war, where he associated with avant-garde artists and produced many geometric sculptures using iron and steel. In addition to sculpture, he also produced watercolors and graphic works, which are characterized by light, poetic expression, making use of improvised lines and the rhythm of colors. In his later years, he returned to Denmark, where he continued to create in an environment surrounded by nature, and his works are collected and installed in many art museums and public spaces. His works possess a unique aesthetic sensibility, where structure and playfulness coexist.
